Khloé Kardashian recently opened up about a childhood memory that still haunts her to this day, revealing that she remains in therapy over the “gross” incident.
During an episode of her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, the 40-year-old reality star recalled an uncomfortable moment involving her mother, Kris Jenner, and Kris’ ex-spouse, Caitlyn Jenner.
According to Khloé, she had been playing a game of hide-and-seek when she unknowingly stumbled into an unfortunate scenario.
Hiding under Kris’ bed, she fell asleep, only to wake up and realize her mother and Caitlyn were in the midst of an intimate moment; one that may have even led to the conception of her younger sisters, Kendall or Kylie Jenner. The mortifying experience, she admitted, has stuck with her ever since.
Kris, now 69, responded with skepticism when Khloé confronted her about the memory. “You were with [your friend] Francesca, so who were you looking for? Each other?” she asked, teasing her daughter about sneaking into her bedroom.
“You didn’t get caught, and you decided to stay there because it sounded exciting, and you got an earful.” Rather than feeling guilty, the momager joked that Khloé “deserved” to be haunted by the experience. Kris even playfully acknowledged how traumatic the moment must have been, quipping, “And you being tortured for the rest of your life is exactly what you deserve.” Khloé, for her part, confirmed that the memory was permanently burned into her brain, adding, “No, they won’t [leave my mind].”
Khloé further detailed the aftermath of the awkward incident, recalling that when she and Francesca giggled under the bed, they “ran out” as soon as Kris and Caitlyn heard them. “No one came to find us for a while because I think you guys were so mortified, as I would be too,” she shared.
“Like, ‘What do we say?’” Kris admitted that she and Caitlyn had likely been trying to come up with a plan to handle the situation, jokingly comparing the intimate moment to an “Olympic competition” or a “wrestling match.” Despite the humor, Khloé was quick to shut it down. “No, I knew what was happening … Gross. I can’t even think about this anymore.”
Kris and Caitlyn were married from 1991 until their separation in 2014, during which they welcomed Kendall, now 29, and Kylie, now 27. Both had children from previous relationships, making their family a large and well-known blended unit. Kris shared four children – Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob; with her late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003. Caitlyn, meanwhile, had four children from her previous marriages; Burt and Cassandra Jenner with ex-wife Chrystie Scott, as well as Brandon and Brody Jenner with ex-wife Linda Thompson.
Despite their complex family tree, Khloé emphasized how close they all are, expressing frustration with people who refer to Kendall and Kylie as her “half-siblings.” She passionately defended their bond, saying, “I really, really hate that. I was born and raised with them, spent every minute with them, and so I really find that insulting when people say that about us.”
Her words reflect the deep connection she shares with her family, proving that no technicality of bloodlines can change the relationships they have built over the years.
